Refurbished estate continues to generate interest

The rolling refurbishment programme at the Beeches Industrial Estate in Yate continues to attract new businesses into the area.

National Grid has taken a 7,275 sq ft end terrace warehouse unit at the SEGRO-run estate north of Bristol in a deal brokered by Colliers International.

The  single storey industrial/warehouse unit includes office accommodation. The  Beeches Industrial Estate is located between the A432 to the south and the B4059, Yate Northern Distributor Road, to the north.

The move is the latest in a string of deals achieved at the busy industrial estate – operated by SEGRO under its Bristolworks banner.

Chris Davies, of SEGRO said: “The ability to offer complete flexibility in terms of space required and the high standard of accommodation and facilities on site is continuing to yield results despite the downturn.

“National Grid had been on the lookout for a suitable storage and distribution unit with good access to the north Bristol road and motorway network.”

SEGRO operates three business parks around Bristol under an active management policy that allows businesses to move within the cluster and helps them with any required expansion or contraction in business.

Tim Davies of Colliers International, which markets the bristolworks estates with Jones Lang Lasalle, said: “National Grid is clearly a major feather in the cap for the Beeches and will help cement the estate’s reputation for  quality, well managed accommodation in a highly flexible environment.”
