Cushman & Wakefield have announced the appointment of Sue Boor to the role of Head of Marketing for The Lexicon Bracknell, the £240 million retail & leisure project in the heart of Bracknell town centre.

With significant marketing experience spanning over three decades, Sue joins Cushman & Wakefield from M&G Real Estate, where she was Head of Marketing for Manchester Arndale, which is jointly owned by M&G Real Estate and Intu Properties, winning several national and international marketing awards.

During her time at M&G Real Estate, Sue also oversaw the implementation of the integrated consumer marketing plans across the M&G Real Estate shopping centre portfolio, as well as marketing campaigns, events and promotions. She has also served as Jury Chair for Revo’s Purple Apple Marketing Awards and launched the first regional shopping centre in the South West with The Mall at Cribbs Causeway, jointly owned by M&G Real Estate, Intu Properties and J.T. Baylis.

In her role as Head of Marketing, Sue will work to establish The Lexicon Bracknell as the new retail and leisure destination for the town, recognised by the local community and further afield as a vibrant and unrivalled shopping, dining and leisure experience within a thriving, convenient and appealing environment.

The Lexicon Bracknell is being developed by The Bracknell Regeneration Partnership, a 50:50 joint venture between Legal & General Capital (“LGC”) and Schroder UK Real Estate Fund (“SREF”), together with Bracknell Forest Council (“BFC”). Once complete The Lexicon Bracknell will provide 580,000 sq ft of new retail, dining and leisure space. A total investment of £768 million is being made to regenerate both the town centre and the wider Bracknell Forest Borough.

Already 70 per cent pre-let (by floor area) The Lexicon Bracknell has attracted top department store Fenwick to anchor the scheme, as well as M&S and a number of fashion brands such as TopShop, TopMan, Next, H&M, River Island and Primark. The town centre’s evening economy will also be transformed with the arrival of a 12-screen Cineworld cinema and a host of high-quality restaurants, such as Zizzi, wagamama, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Nando’s and Chimichanga.

Pat Sutton, Associate Director of Retail Asset Services at Cushman & Wakefield, said, “We are delighted that Sue Boor will be joining the team at The Lexicon Bracknell. Sue’s experience will be invaluable in cementing The Lexicon as a strong and enduring brand for Bracknell and Berkshire, building anticipation in the run up to opening, as well as continuing to drive footfall and excitement, post launch in September 2017.”

Sue Boor said, “The coming months are such an exciting time for Bracknell, as we approach the opening of The Lexicon next year. I am looking forward to working closely with the team to deliver an excellent launch for the project, and continuing to deliver an exceptional town centre for Bracknell, once doors open on 7th September 2017.”
