RICS launch new industry event to celebrate West Midlands’ built environment

Monique Royle MRICS, Chair of West Midlands Regional Board

As more investment is placed on building projects within the West Midlands the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has launched a new annual dinner to celebrate the region’s successes.

Sponsored by Daniel Owen, the first dinner will take place on Friday 3 March 2017 at The Vox, Birmingham. Industry professionals will have the opportunity to network with over 350 guests from across the West Midlands whilst raising funds for local charity: Property for Kids.

Property for Kids, a committee formed charity, supports numerous charities large and small with the sole intent of raising money for disadvantaged children across the West Midlands.

Monique Royle MRICS, Chair of West Midlands Regional Board comments: “The West Midlands has seen extensive regeneration in the past few years which is only set to continue. It is important that we unite as a sector, not only on the projects we are involved in but with our events; the achievements of this region are a result of collaborative and joined up thinking from industry specialists across the region.

“We have already made great steps towards proving what the West Midlands has to offer and there is a lot more to come with Paradis Square in Birmingham, HS2 and the regeneration of Wolverhampton. In addition to these large scale; nationally significant projects we are also heading towards devolution and it is imperative that we use every opportunity to build on our current successes and shape the region that residents deserve.”

Lynn Robinson, RICS Regional Director (North & Midlands) comments: “There is a great focus on the West Midlands built environment with increased investment and national scale projects helping to drive the Midlands as the engine of the UK. RICS professionals working in the region have already proven what can be achieved through collaboration and it is vital that we celebrate these accomplishments and further boost the region’s connections. The West Midlands Dinner will offer a tremendous opportunity for industry professionals to unite and affirm the region’s place as one of great investment success.”

Tickets are now on sale for the event with an early bird discount available to those who book before 06 January 2017. A three course meal and a glass of prosecco on entry is included in the ticket price as well as after dinner entertainment.
