Defence giant’s Solstice move

A US-based, multi-national defence systems giant has taken three adjoining units at an Amesbury business park.

Cubic Global Defence is the new tenant of Units 202, 204 and 205 at The Beacon Centre on Solstice Park.

The company has taken six-year leases on the units through property consultancy Myddelton & Major with the total quoting rent being £47,750.

Myddelton & Major Partner Dean Speer said: “Cubic, which designs, integrates and operates realistic combat training systems, has taken space totalling 7,292 sq ft.

“Cubic, which delivers training exercises and support systems to the Army on Salisbury Plain and other locations, is also based at Westdown Camp, Salisbury.

“I am please we were able to expedite the arrival of such a major player to Solstice Park. It emphasises the versatility and quality of the facilities to be found there.”

The three units have been fitted out to a high standard to provide ground floor entrance reception/office and workshop/warehouse space, together with first floor office accommodation.

The Beacon Centre forms part of the new 160-acre Solstice Park business park development and comprises a recent development of 15 industrial/warehouse units, together with R&D and office facilities – and direct access to the A303 trunk road.

Myddelton & Major was named the most active agency in Wiltshire in 2015 for the fourth year running by Estates Gazette, the weekly and online magazine of the UK commercial property industry.
