Capital & Regional announces raft of deals at London Malls

Capital & Regional has announced that it has agreed terms with seven brands at The Mall Wood Green and The Mall Walthamstow.

Pret A Manger has opened its first store in Wood Green at The Mall, agreeing to occupy a 3,000 sq ft unit on a lease term of 15 years. Meanwhile womenswear/accessories brand Accessorize has opened a 1,200 sq ft unit [10 year lease], and footwear brand Footlocker has agreed to relocate from the high street store to a 3,000 sq ft unit fronting the main Mall. These deals follow commitments by Choice, Warren James, and Deichmann which all opened new stores in the Summer. Baseo, the electronics and gaming trade store and milkshake bar Shakeaway will also both be opening in the next six weeks.

In addition, Capital & Regional has also agreed a new deal with Holland & Barratt who will be relocating from their current store and upsizing to a 3,500 sq ft store at the Mall Walthamstow.

Beauty specialist Muskaan Brow Bar have also moved into a new 1,200 sq ft unit and the centre has also welcomed The Works, the UKs leading value retailer of gifts and art materials who have opened a 1,800 sq ft store.

Sian Bowen, Retail Asset Manager at Capital & Regional said:

“We are continuing to see strong demand for space at our London assets, with the EU Referendum having no discernible impact on retailers’ strategies. Both The Mall Wood Green and The Mall Walthamstow are in the heart of the local communities, close to major transport links, which makes them attractive locations.”
