Wates Construction Ltd have renewed a lease on a floor of 6,300 sq ft and have also taken an additional 1,500 sq ft in the building. Procius Ltd have expanded from 4,500 sq ft into an entire of 6,300 sq ft. The latest letting will involve First Actuarial Ltd moving into the 9th floor of 6,300 sq ft from their current offices nearby in The Square. They have agreed to a new 10 year lease with a 5 year rent review and tenant break clause.

In all instances, rental levels of between £12.25 and £12.75 per sq ft have been agreed.

CEG are now proposing further upgrade works to the main reception and lift lobbies and have introduced a Leaseline into the building in order to facilitate faster broadband. The 2nd floor in the building is the latest to be fully refurbished and newly air conditioned. Smaller suites of between 1,100 sq ft and 1,600 sq ft have been created by way of subdivision, with access from a bright and colour coordinated central corridor.

Richard Thomas at BDT commented; “There are now close to 400 people in the building, it’s good to see these levels of activity again, and it adds to the general vibrancy that everybody wants to see generated within Basing View”.
