Zero industrial new build availability left in Worthing

Having made persistent warnings of imminent industrial shortage in the Worthing area, commercial property agents Stiles Harold Williams are now sorry to report that there is currently no contemporary industrial stock left in the vicinity of the town.

The letting of Unit D3 of the Ford Industrial Estate (above left 1,017 sq ft), to Roundstone Recovery– along with the sale of Unit 10, Northbrook Road, Worthing to Sterling Power Tools & Fixings Ltd (above right 4,145 sq ft) signalled the most acute shortage yet.

Meanwhile retail-wise, SHW have recently leased 14 Ash Lane, Rustington and 8 Anchor Springs, Littlehampton both on behalf of Store Investments Ltd.

Agency Partner Duncan Marsh said: “There is so little supply that a slight spike in demand can lead to a complete lack of high-end availability. We have tried to identify this problem – for example it is featured in the Brighton & Hove City Plan, but it has yet to be acted upon, either by planning authorities or speculative developers.”
