Double success at EOS, Solstice Park, Amesbury

British builders merchant and home improvement retailer Travis Perkins is to develop a new 10,000 sq ft builders merchants on a 1.75 acre plot in Solstice Park in Amesbury.

The announcement follows the news that NRG Developments has also acquired 1.3 acres at Solstice Park to speculatively develop 36 business units ranging from 1,500 sq ft to 3,000 sq ft, subject to planning.  These units will be ideal for trade counter occupiers and small to medium sized occupiers looking to buy or to rent.

David Fahie, Development Director at Solstice Park says: “Travis Perkins has really stolen the march on the competition by becoming the first full service builders merchant in the area.  With a lot of new housing development and a massive expansion of the nearby Army Garrisons underway, the timing for this new outlet and the NRG development is very much welcome and a coup for Amesbury.”

Steve Mitchell, Director at Colliers International added; “Solstice Park has always enjoyed superb transport connections and now that Travis Perkins is to arrive on site, other trade counter operators are sure to compete for space in the new NRG business units which will shortly become available.”

Land is still available at Solstice Park for industrial and distribution occupiers under the park’s EOS development scheme.

A site of circa 2.09 acres remains available to owner occupiers and developers at EOS1.  The site is one of the few opportunities for an occupier to acquire a smaller serviced, freehold commercial development site in the region.

A further plot at EOS2 of 8.6 acres can provide units from 50,000 – 150,000 sq ft on either leasehold or freehold basis.  Alternatively, the plot can be sold as a self-build or for development.

Colliers International and Myddelton & Major are the joint agents acting on EOS1 and EOS2.
