Landid/Brockton Partnership wins 2016 OAS Fund/Developer Of The Year award

Joint venture partners Landid and Brockton Capital have won the Office Agents Society’s (OAS) 2016 Fund/Developer of the Year award. Presented to the UK’s best fund or developer, the award celebrates the partnership’s committed and innovative vision for development in the Thames Valley and West London.

The Landid and Brockton JV currently is delivering four major office developments to the region: One Queen Caroline Street, Hammersmith (complete); The Charter Building, Uxbridge; Thames Tower, Reading; and The Porter Building, Slough, all set for completion between Q4 2016 and Q3 2017. Totalling  some 600,000 sq ft of space, the partnership’s  design-led and amenity-rich workplaces will meet the needs and aspirations of the very best talent from within the UK workforce. Additionally, the partnership’s  successful 2015 sale of One Valpy in Reading and The Urban Building in Slough to a client of Standard Life Investments for c.£56.5m, proved that there is a demand for high quality buildings with character in the Western Corridor.

Upon recognising Landid and Brockton as Fund/Developer of the Year, the OAS judges noted that the partnership is “delivering workplaces that are changing how buildings are occupied with communal spaces, amenity and customer service at the heart of the offer.”

James Silver,  Director at Landid, said: “We believe that through design, management, positioning, attention to detail and a consistent development ethos we can make a genuine benefit to occupiers’ environment, experience and budget. We want our workplaces to impact positively on organisational culture, productivity, efficiency and employee satisfaction and we’re honoured to receive recognition that our efforts are doing just that through this prestigious award.”

Tony Edgely, Partner at Brockton Capital LLP, added, “I am immensely proud of the hard work and collaboration between Landid and Brockton Capital. We set out to be a force for change in the office development sector and receiving the OAS Fund/Developer of the Year award is great endorsement and proof point for the success of that strategy.”

The OAS Awards were held at the Pavilion at the Tower of London on 24th June. It is the only event in the property industry awarded by agents and recognises excellence in office development, sustainability & transactions across the UK.
