Property heavyweight joins Colliers in Manchester

Andrew McFarlane, director and head of the North West for Colliers International

Colliers International has made a high profile lateral hire in its National Office Agency team in Manchester, as former Commercial Director for Property Alliance Group (PAG), Dominic Pozzoni, joins the firm’s thriving office agency team.

Dominic joins Colliers International as a Director and will Head the firm’s seven-strong Manchester National Offices team, working closely with established Directors Michael Hawkins and Peter Gallagher.

“At Colliers, we do things differently,” said Andrew McFarlane, Head of North West, Colliers International. “We don’t just see Colliers Manchester as ‘shifters’ of office space; instead we pride ourselves on becoming trusted advisors to our clients, orchestrating long term, complex deals from inception through to completion.  The appointment of Dominic complements this model perfectly; he isn’t just an agent but a proven business advisor and problem solver, something which is invaluable to our growing client base.”

Dominic joined PAG in 2004 and during that time has lead the Group’s offices business. Prior to that, he was a partner at Manchester-based surveying and agency firm Edwards & Co, where he spent 11 years.

Returning to agency life, Dominic will head Colliers’ Manchester offices team, bringing with him a proven track record of letting high value schemes alongside an unrivalled capability for identifying ‘needle-moving’ development and investment opportunities. During his time at PAG, he has largely focussed on the development of mixed use schemes, incorporating residential and hotel elements into the mix. He has been involved in some of the most high-profile schemes both regionally and nationally, including; Towers, Trident, The Pinnacle and Freetrade Exchange.

We expect Dominic to maintain his strong relationship with David Russell of PAG as well as reacquainting relationships with Peel and Bruntwood and building upon his institutional clients, which include: Ares, Royal London and Moorfield.

Tony Horrell, UK & Ireland CEO at Colliers International added: “Dominic is acknowledged as a best in class real estate advisor with particular track record in letting high value office schemes in the North West and across the UK. Our Manchester office agency team is a fusion of high level expertise alongside some of the region’s very best young talent. With the addition of Dominic, we’ve created a potent force which I believe will be of the greatest value to our client base in the North West.”

Dominic’s appointment represents the twelfth senior Director hire for Colliers nationally this year and is one of a number of heavyweight regional appointments made by the firm in 2016, including Guy Gilfillan who joined the Leeds office in April and Catherine Collis who joined the Bristol office in March.
