Midlands-based CPMG Architects builds on success & opens new London office

Nottingham-based CPMG architects is building on almost two decades of success and has opened a second office in London.

With a growing portfolio of architectural and interior design projects including HMS Belfast Visitor Centre, O2 Hotel, Walnut Tree Park in Guildford and John Pye Luxury Asset’s Old Bond Street showroom, CPMG continues to gain more work from London-based clients.

Celebrating almost 20 years in business following a merger in 1997, CPMG has grown by 40 per cent and works on around 40 to 100 architecture, visualisation, master planning and interiors projects at a time.

Chris White, project director for CPMG is leading the firm’s expansion to London and said the feedback from clients has already been really positive.

“We know that we have a great team of architects and interior designers who have delivered excellent projects across the country and abroad, but having a greater presence in London definitely raises our profile,” said Chris.

“We’ve had feedback from clients who say they enjoy working with us because we’re a breath of fresh air; we’re friendly and approachable but get the job done to a high standard.

“Having a strong portfolio of London-based projects has helped us to grow our network of contacts and we’ve already noticed an increase in enquiries and opportunities for work – it’s a very exciting time for CPMG.”

Having already delivered projects around the country and abroad in China and Solvakia, a selection of the firm’s growing team of 75 will now be based in Farrington.

Nick Gregory, director for CPMG architects said it wasn’t just the portfolio of work that had helped the team win work.

“Our experience in BIM means that we offer BIM consultancy to national and regional contractors and we’ve written software on behalf of clients to support the delivery of multi-partner projects,” Nick explained.

“CPMG works heavily in the education sector, commercial, leisure and industrial. Our designs for Cranfield’s Aerospace Integrated Research Centre are taking shape on site and universities such as Teesside, De Montfort in Leicester, University of Derby and University of Nottingham have all been transformed recently with our help.”
