Alchemy and Tristan fund land DAI at Westside

Alchemy Asset Management and a Tristan Capital Partners fund, advised by Hanover Green and Brasier Freeth, have pre-let 16,000 sq ft at Westside near Hemel Hempstead, to DAI Europe Ltd on a 10 year lease at £24 per sq ft.

Westside is a 185,000 sq ft regional HQ office and already home to Epson and HSBC. The property, which is undergoing a comprehensive refurbishment and will provide 100,000 sq ft of Grade A space across two buildings, will be ready in late 2016.

Global development company DAI Europe Ltd has taken the 3rd floor of Westside 2 and will move in once the refurbishment works are completed.

Guy Bishop of Alchemy Asset Management commented: “The letting to DAI is proof that there is latent demand for high quality office space in this location, with good access to public transport. We are completely repositioning the asset to include fully refurbished offices, a new entrance, on site café, bike storage and showers and a major upgrade to the external landscaping.”

Richard Zoers, Partner at Hanover Green and letting agent said: “Westside provides Grade A space in a beautifully landscaped office campus, adjacent to the Grand Union Canal and with excellent car parking facilities. The scheme is just a five minute walk from Apsley station, which is 30 minutes from London Euston by train. It offers occupiers excellent accessibility and amenities.”
