SEGRO plc (SEGRO) has welcomed two new customers, Old Pony and Asbestos Solutions Ltd, to its Enterprise Quarter on the Slough Trading Estate.

Old Pony, a specialist vintage furniture and antiquities trader, has moved into its latest facility on SEGRO’s Slough Trading Estate on a 3-year Enterprise lease for a 643 sq. ft. unit, which will become the principal location for its online business operations in the UK. The quirky business has other stores in London and has a regular presence at Spitalfields Market in east London.

Asbestos Solutions Ltd has signed up for a 942 sq. ft. light industrial unit, also on a 3-year Enterprise lease. An Asbestos management and removal company specialising in domestic and commercial properties, the company is anticipating that this will be a key location for its UK-based operations.

SEGRO’s Enterprise Quarter was launched in 2007, specifically to respond to the needs of small enterprises and start-ups by creating a business community of like-minded people. It provides a full spectrum of unit sizes ranging from 500 sq. ft. to 3,000 sq. ft. along with shared meeting facilities and Source Café, an informal area to both relax and network with other entrepreneurs.  The leases are flexible enabling customers to seamlessly upsize or downsize, as required.

Paul Lewis, Regional Director for SEGRO’s Thames Valley, said:

“We are delighted that our Enterprise Quarter is proving so popular and effective in supporting growing businesses and is a good barometer of business confidence in the area. Innovative features such as the Enterprise Lease, shared, collaborative workspace and a prime location for accessing potential clients help to provide the optimum environment for SMEs as they progress from startup through to established companies.
