First Base expands redevelopment team and appoints new Head of Design

First Base, mixed use developer has announced the appointment of  two new members of staff and a promotion within its design team.

James Starr has joined as Development Manager from Grosvenor, where he managed the development process for a range of projects within Mayfair and Belgravia. James will now be responsible for managing First Base’s Tower Bridge Road (SE1) and Earlsfield (SW18) projects.

Rachel Maher, who previously held a post at Savills, has been appointed as Project Manager.  Rachel has previously worked with several housing associations and has extensive experience in land acquisition, planning, development appraisals, contract procurement and providing advice on issues relating to affordable housing.

Daniel May has also been promoted to Head of Design at First Base following two years as Design Executive. Daniel will be responsible for handling projects through the planning process in to detailed design. He has worked across a variety projects, including Ashchurch Villas (W12), Anston House (BN1), Tower Bridge Road (SE1) and Millennium Mills (E16) at Silvertown.
