Leading national cancer charity takes prominent town premises

68 Station Road, New Milton

A top charity is moving into a prime retail site in busy New Milton as part of an expansion drive.

Property consultancy Myddelton & Major has successfully negotiated the letting of 68 Station Road to Cancer Research UK on a 10-year lease at a quoting rent of £22,500 per annum.

Myddelton & Major Partner Simon Lee said: “I am pleased to have been able to help facilitate this major national charity coming to such a prominent site in New Milton.

“Cancer Research UK has nearly 600 shops which are leading revenue generators and it is excellent news that the people of New Milton will be able to do their bit a little more easily.

“The charity’s new premises occupy a central trading position fronting Station Road, close to its crossroads junction with Ashley Road and Old Milton Road – with many established retailers trading close by, including Coral, Morrisons, NatWest, Boots, Bath Travel, Superdrug and Vision Express.”

The 1,005 sq ft (93.36 sq m) property includes a ground floor retail unit, with a double display glazed frontage, a sales area currently partitioned to provide a rear office, kitchen and WC, plus rear parking facilities.

Myddelton & Major was named the most active agency in Wiltshire in 2015 for the fourth year running by Estates Gazette, the weekly and online magazine of the UK commercial property industry.
