Black tie ceremony sees Colliers International crowned Scotland’s top industrial agent

Colliers International cemented its position as Scotland’s top industrial property agent as it was crowned industrial team of the year at The Scottish Property Awards.

The gong was collected by agents from Colliers International’s’ industrial & logistics team in Scotland at a glittering black tie industry gathering in Glasgow. The Scottish Property Awards celebrate the best in commercial property. The annual gongs were first staged in 2014 and have grown in prestige and scope since.

Iain Davidson, director, industrial & logistics for West of Scotland with Colliers International, said: “This award is a testament to the results we’ve achieved and also to our clients, who have put their faith in us.

“We continue to complete transactions for large amounts of floorspace across a broad range of industrial premises, from smaller multi-let estates to large distribution facilities, so this award really cements our place as Scotland’s number one industrial agent. Over the last three months we have completed deals for more than 700,000 square feet of industrial space in the Greater Glasgow area alone.  2016 is shaping up to be another good year, with many exciting projects in the pipeline.”

Bryce Stewart, director, industrial & logistics for East of Scotland with Colliers International, added: “I am especially pleased that we won our category as I think we consistently punch above our weight. Other firms have larger teams working in the industrial sphere but ours is very well established. We have been working together for 20 years and we are well known in the sector.

“Last year we completed some big, key deals, including large land sales, which have helped ensure we are rated number one.”

Colliers International beat off stiff competition from other commercial agencies to clinch the title of Industrial Agency Team of the Year for 2016. The wide-ranging awards also saw developers, architects and funding partners honoured for their part in the ongoing success of Scotland’s commercial property sector.
