Trebor Developments is delighted to announce completion of its fast-track project for long-standing client Assay Office Birmingham, to create an Educational Hub in the recently completed new Assay Office HQ in the heart of Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
Trebor has led a team to deliver specialist fit out works of 6,000 sq. ft. to create the a new facility for the School of Jewellery’s Gemmology department . The new gemmological training facilities forms part of plans to establish a centre of learning excellence for the Midlands jewellery trade.
Leading a team comprising of contractor GTH Construction and representatives from Birmingham City University and Holts Academy, who will be working with Assay Office Birmingham in the collaboration, the project has been handed over ready to go fully operational.

It’s a testament to the new building that this innovative project has come forward so quickly to realise the potential of expansion space that was planned within the new Assay Office development.
“It was a tight programme and brought challenges in working in a live and highly secure operational environment but we’ve hit the exact handover date that was set back in the summer and have some superb facilities fitted out with the latest presentation technology.”
