Insurance firm purchases new offices for expansion

Commercial insurance brokers BPW Insurance has doubled its office space after completing the purchase of Cathedral Chambers on Stow Hill, Newport.

The new office, which is over 4,100 square foot, gives BPW the space it needs to accommodate more personnel for the company’s future growth.

BPW Insurance has grown to become one of the largest independent commercial insurance brokers in South Wales and has been based in Newport for over 30 years. Its new offices, located next to St Woolos Cathedral on Stow Hill, are fitted out to a very high standard and have a long history, dating back to medieval times.

Speaking of the new office purchase, Managing Director of BPW, Paul Wiggins said: “After more than 30 years at our Bridge Street office we had reached a point where we needed more space to expand our business. The new office not only gives us a more modern place to work, but importantly it gives us the extra space we need for our ambitious growth plans.”

This comes after BPW celebrated its first Investors in People Accreditation, recognising its exceptional focus on supporting and developing its staff.

Mr Wiggins continued, “Achieving the Investors in People award is part of our five year business development plan that focuses on generating a highly skilled and motivated workforce, and the new office is a key part of that. We will also be launching our new logo to coincide with our move, with our new website to follow in January.”
