Trowers & Hamlins launches Commercial Property practice in Birmingham with lateral hire

Trowers & Hamlins is pleased to announce that it has launched a Commercial Property practice in Birmingham following the hire of partner Amanda Hanmore.  Amanda was previously a partner at Knights Solicitors LLP where she led the firm’s Real Estate Development team.

Amanda’s arrival brings commercial property expertise to Trowers & Hamlins’ Midlands base and enhances the overall Real Estate offering in Birmingham, which already boasts housing, construction, employment, litigation, and public sector commercial capabilities.

Amanda deals with all aspects of commercial property and has particular specialisms in large-scale development, regeneration, and investment.  She regularly advises clients from both the public and private sectors, including pension funds, major developers, care home operators, and universities.

Philip Peters, head of Commercial Property at Trowers & Hamlins, commented:  “We are very pleased to welcome Amanda to the department and to add a commercial property string to our bow in Birmingham.  Amanda brings considerable development expertise to the table and her overall capabilities perfectly complement the existing skillset we have in the Midlands.  Amanda’s arrival strengthens our national commercial property offering and will put us in a position to better serve our real estate clients across the UK.”

Amanda added:  “Trowers & Hamlins has an enviable reputation in real estate and is a recognised market leader in areas like inward investment and development.  I am delighted to be joining the team and look forward to helping the department move from strength to strength.”

Trowers & Hamlins’ Real Estate team is recognised by Chambers UK and The Legal 500 UK, the independent legal directories.  The firm’s Birmingham office has undergone significant growth over the last 18 months, with four partners and a number of fee earners joining its Colmore Row base.
