Bond Wolfe building on developer demand

Black Country business property agents Bond Wolfe have sold a prominent site in Handsworth on the main A41 Holyhead Road.

The 0.23 acre site has full planning permission for the development of four houses and three flats and has been bought for £160,000 by local developer Ajit Bahra.

Mr Bahra said he was delighted to have acquired the site in a high profile location at 79-85 Holyhead Road and that he intended to develop the site in line with the existing planning consent.

James Mattin, managing partner of Bond Wolfe, said: “Despite all the talk of doom and gloom there is very strong demand for sites in and around Sandwell and Birmingham.

“We have a site in Winson Green and one in Dudley, both of which are sold subject to contract and we expect to exchange on them shortly.”

Bond Wolfe is also handling a development opportunity in a prime residential location in Sutton Coldfield town centre.

Mr Mattin said: “In 2012, we have been instructed on £7 million worth of development sites, including three acres in Coleshill, 3.5 acres in Aldridge, 1.88 acres in Wolverhampton, two sites in West Bromwich and a residential conversion opportunity in Kidderminster.

“And they say things are quiet!”
