Back to school for Bond Wolfe as deal flow hits new heights

Bond Wolfe has let 2,000 sq ft at Gateway House in Birmingham to the Learndirect organisation as part of their latest expansion.

Learndirect have signed a ten year lease at the 27,000 sq ft building at 50-53 High Street where existing occupiers include Dorothy Perkins, Shelter and training agency Heart of England.

Bond Wolfe managing partner James Mattin said: “The deal is further evidence of our growing city centre presence along with recent lettings to Davisons Solicitors at 75-77 Colmore Row and MJ Experia at 24 Bennetts Hill.

“Indeed a further 10,000 sq ft of city centre office space has gone under offer in the last fortnight.”

Learndirect is the UK’s largest provider of skills, training and employment services.

It offers qualifications in everyday skills like maths, English and IT, short online courses in subjects from software packages to languages, through to vocational qualifications and apprenticeships in industry.

Gateway House occupies a prominent corner site bounded by High Street and Carrs Lane and forms part of Birmingham’s central retailing area.

The building is well positioned to take advantage of strong shopper and office worker pedestrian flows. The property is directly adjacent to Marks & Spencer with other retailers in the immediate vicinity including Boots, Sainsbury’s, WH Smith, H & M and Gap.
