Derby industrial park thrives with flurry of activity

Innes England has completed a series of deals at a popular industrial estate in Derby in the first half of 2015, highlighting the continued strong demand in this sector.

Three new tenants have secured space at the Sinfin Industrial Park so far this year including University of Derby/Derby Theatre, Elite Fleet Maintenance and Paragon X wholesalers.

The commercial property consultancy has also negotiated a long-term lease renewal at the same location with Morgan Technical Ceramics at its 13,429 sq ft industrial premises. The company specialises in the manufacture of ceramic cores, predominantly for aerospace and industrial turbines.

Stuart Waite, associate director at Innes England, completed the transactions. He said: “We are delighted to have concluded these deals on behalf of our client and welcome these new arrivals to the estate. Sinfin is a popular and well-established industrial and logistics location; home to a number of strong local, national and international businesses.

“The site benefits from a manned gatehouse providing 24/7 security, which has proved popular with interested parties. There is only one void under 10,000 sq ft, which is currently under offer, and there is strong interest in the larger facilities, which we should be in a position to announce shortly.”

Commenting on the regional commercial property market, Stuart added: “The industrial and logistics sector is buoyant at present with a shortage of good quality buildings available across all size ranges. We are now seeing rental growth and less generous incentives offered to tenants due to high levels of demand coupled with low supply.”

The estate boasts a strong line-up of occupiers including a number of companies that form part of the Rolls-Royce supply chain from the engineering, manufacturing and logistics sectors. Existing tenants include Ceva, Flowerworld, Huub Design, Moorlarge and Daher Aerospace amongst others.

Sinfin Industrial Park is a popular, well-established estate close to the Rolls-Royce Sinfin Campus and has good access to outer ring road and the A6/A50 down to J24a/24 M1 and East Mids Airport, the A52 over to Nottingham, and the A38 which provides easy access to Birmingham and the West Midlands.
