Move helps electrical specialists stay focussed on future

A converted barn unit at the Nibley Business Park in Yate has been taken by South Gloucestershire electrical specialists KSCM in a deal brokered by Colliers International.

KSCM have just completed a major assignment installing security cameras at the prestigious Southgate shopping centre in Bath.

The 750 square feet unit will become the new base for KSCM’s operations in the South West following a move from Staple Hill.

KSCM Director Keyton Matthews said the move kept the firm close to their South Gloucestershire customer base – but they were also undertaking major electrical works further afield.

He said: “We were sub-contracted to carry out various security installations at the Southgate centre in Bath and we are also involved in several similar projects overseas.”

Keyton Matthews launched KSCM 16 months ago as a sole trader and is now employing three additional staff.

Colliers International industrial expert Jonathan Allen said the unit – prominently situated close to the A432 and within half a mile of Yate town centre – was ideally sized and situated for a small business such as KSCM.

He said: “Proximity to the existing customer base and improved access to the motorway and main road network meant this small unit was just what KSCM had been looking for.”
