New beauty business adds attraction to city centre

A new letting has been agreed for the former Rowlands of Bath shop unit in a prime position in Salisbury city centre.

Property consultancy Myddelton & Major acted for the landlord to successfully negotiate the 10-year lease for the grade-II listed building at an asking rent of £19,000 per annum.

The new tenant will use the substantial three-storey unit at 13 Milford Street as a new nail salon and beauty spa treatment centre.

Simon Lee, retail partner for Myddelton & Major, said: “We are pleased to bring another independent local business into a prime trading position in Salisbury city centre.

“Rising numbers of independent traders and leading national chains are seeking new or more extensive units as confidence returns to the high street.

“This successful new lease is one of a series we have negotiated recently in the city centre and we expect to see more prominently located units come under offer very shortly.”

The unit is in a central trading position on Milford Street, close to its junction with New Canal, Queen Street and Catherine Street.

Other leading national chains and independent traders nearby include Chas H Bakers Menswear, Viyella, London Camera Exchange, Specsavers, Phase Eight and Nando’s.
