Hogan Lovells is latest occupier at Birmingham’s Colmore Plaza

Global alternative asset manager The Carlyle Group (“Carlyle”) has completed a letting to Hogan Lovells at Colmore Plaza, its prime office building in Birmingham city centre.

The global law firm will take 7,620 sq ft of the 10th floor on a 10 year lease term.

Arranged over ground, mezzanine and 12 flexible, column-free upper floors, Colmore Plaza meets the highest standards of design, innovation and flexibility, with suites available from 4,000 sq ft to 20,000 sq ft, including 68,800 sq ft of continuous space.

Nicky Barker, Senior Associate at The Carlyle Group, said: “Colmore Plaza is set at the heart of Birmingham’s central business district and just a stone’s throw from the city’s retail quarter, offering the perfect combination of work and play which has continued to drive significant interest in its Grade A, highly flexible floorplates.

“There is an ongoing dearth of high quality office accommodation in the city centre, with the announcement of the relocation of HS2’s offices to the city adding to this squeeze and I am delighted that we have been able to secure this letting to Hogan Lovells.”

Hogan Lovells is a top 10 law firm operating from out of more than 40 offices in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and the United States.

Stephen Harrison, Hogan Lovells Director of Office Services, said: “Colmore Plaza is a well-known Birmingham address, with excellent transport links and numerous local amenities in the immediate area.   The flexibility offered by the floorplates was a big huge incentive for us and the on-site concierge service adds an extra dimension.”

Tenants at Colmore Plaza enjoy a broad range of services including access to a health and wellbeing clinic, car valet service, running club, shoe repair and dry cleaning services, alongside access to fitness sessions run by British Military Fitness.

Existing occupiers at Colmore Plaza include Marsh, Investec Wealth and Investment, Aecom, Orega, Amey, Grant Thornton, Vodafone and Robert Half International.

GVA acted on behalf of the Carlyle Group, with Hogan Lovells represented by JLL.
