Southampton architecture and masterplanning company ready for business thanks to city collaboration

A new name in architecture and masterplanning has launched in Southampton this week, with help from a fellow city company.

Boyle+Summers officially opened for business this month (October 1) following an amicable management buyout of the Southampton studio of LHC, works across a wide range of projects, from schools and offices to city masterplans.

True to its belief that businesses in the region should work together it appointed leading integrated marketing communications agency, Carswell Gould, to help it position itself for the future and hit the ground running.

Carswell Gould, based in Southampton for over 20 years, worked with directors Tony Boyle and Richard Summers to get under the skin of the firm and create a fresh brand that will set the tone for the company’s bright new future and help it communicate with the world.

After defining the new brand and marketing material, Carswell Gould went on to design and code Boyle+Summers new website, which will grow as the business evolves.

Tony Boyle, Director of Boyle + Summers, added: “As an architecture and masterplanning firm, design is so important to us. That’s why we chose to work with Carswell Gould, which has a fantastic reputation for design and branding and, like us, works to promote the region across the UK.”

Design manager, Tom McLean, said: “Developing a brand from scratch is one of our favourite jobs at Carswell Gould. It allows us to dig into the heart of a business, find out what it stands for and then represent that visually. It’s a very creative process. We’re excited about the launch of Boyle+Summers and looking forward to seeing the brand proudly displayed around Southampton and further afield going forward.”
