Opus makes key new appointment

Leading Midlands property development company, Opus Land, has announced the appointment of a new Director of Development.

Victoria Smith (age 31) daughter of Managing Director, Richard Smith, joins Opus Land from Palmer Capital where as Associate Director she focused on property investment and fund management.

A graduate of Reading University with a BSc in Land Management and subsequent accreditations from RICS and CFA, Victoria spent approximately seven years with Kings Sturge in London where she was promoted to Senior Surveyor specialising in business recovery and investment.

With over 1.4 million sq ft of commercial, industrial and retail space currently under development, Opus Land has recently hit the headlines with two major pre-lets to supply bespoke town centre stores for food giant, Waitrose, in Solihull and Worcester.

Says Richard Smith:  “Victoria’s deal making and investment experience will stand Opus in good stead as we enter a new and particularly buoyant period for the regional markets, underpinned by a resurgence in demand across all sectors.”

Says Victoria Smith:  “With a healthy pipeline of deals on the table, Opus is playing a key role in the rejuvenation of the property industry across the West Midlands and I’m delighted to be a part of its ongoing success”
