South Wales based Unit Birwelco Group is to expand into the United States of America as a result of the company’s long-term commitment to support the needs of the heat transfer industry in the US.
The Unit Birwelco Group – which has its headquarters in Swansea, South Wales with additional offices in London, Pembroke Dock, Halesowen, Stockton on Tees and Immingham – has announced the launch of Birwelco USA Inc.
Headquartered in Houston Texas, Birwelco USA will initially focus on supporting the NorthAmerican refining, petrochemical and energy markets.
The business will offer its customers a variety of fired heater and thermal equipment services that together will meet the ever growing anddiverse needs of the industry, supporting both existing facilities and new expansions.
In setting up the new venture, the Group is delighted to announce the appointment of Walter Gull as the President of Birwelco USA Inc.
Walter is globally recognised as a leading expert in the fired heater and furnace industry with experience covering the whole life cycle of their design, fabrication and installation through to troubleshooting operational and performance issues.
It is his depth of experience and commitment to industry organisations such as API and ASME that will further enhance Birwelco’s position as a leading global engineering organisation in the thermal industry.
Commenting on Unit Birwelco’s decision to launch Birwelco USA and the Group’s emergence into the US market, Unit Birwelco Group Managing Director Malcolm Oliver said: “We are delighted to be able to announce our plans for Birwelco USA under Walter Gull’s leadership.
