A leading Welsh insurance broker has received the ‘Broker Training Programme of the Year’ award at a prominent national award ceremony.
Jelf Insurance Brokers was unveiled as the winner of the prestigious title at the Insurance Times Awards’ glittering ceremony in London earlier this month for their ‘Trusted Adviser Programme’.
Jelf fought off competition from other finalists – Aon, Bluefin, Hastings Direct and Pound Gates – to win the award, which is designed to spotlight investment in training and education by a broker.
The award commends investment that has resulted in tangible, measurable benefits for the broker’s employees, business partners, and/or end-clients – and for the business as a whole.
Regional Managing Director Julian Hilton said: “We’re really pleased to have won the Broker Training of the Year award as it emphasises our position as a respected, national firm that truly cares about training and education.
“We were up against some tough competition which makes winning even better. We are now looking forward to developing out ‘Trusted Adviser Programme’ in 2014 and beyond.”
The firm was also shortlisted as a finalist in two other categories: ‘Claims Initiative of the Year – Broker’, and ‘End -Customer Service Initiative of the Year’.
The annual Insurance Times Awards is the biggest event in UK for the insurance industry. More than 1,200 people from UK general insurance gathered at Battersea Evolution to celebrate some of the industry’s best achievements over the last year.
