Tiger to move into Richmond upon Thames

Danish retailer Tiger has signed for a new store in Richmond upon Thames, in south west London following recent openings in Bromley, Chiswick and Cambridge.

Tiger is to open a 2,330 sq ft ground floor store at 36/37 The Quadrant in Richmond upon Thames after signing a 10 year lease with the landlord Sheet Anchor Evolve. The lease has a tenant-only break at year five and a six month rent free period. The retailer will pay a stepped rent for the unit rising to £145,000 pa by year five.

Since launching in 1995 in Copenhagen, Tiger has expanded to more than 200 stores across 18 European countries and to more than 20 stores in the south east of the UK after it launched here in 2005.

Richard Brown of Plus Shops Retail said: “With its affluent resident and visitor profile and upmarket tenant line-up, Richmond is the perfect location for Tiger and further strengthens their profile in the South East.”

Tiger was advised by Plus Shops Retail and Brasier Freeth whilst Cushman & Wakefield advised the landlord Sheet Anchor Evolve.
