Kärcher acquire first UK company owned store

Williams Gunter Hardwick, Chartered Surveyors based in Bristol, advised Kärcher a market leader in commercial and domestic cleaning products on the acquisition of their first company owned retail unit in the UK.

The unit located in a very prominent position on St Phillip’s Causeway Bristol, directly opposite the busy Avonmeads Retail Park, anchored by Marks and Spencer and a Showcase Cinema will make an ideal showroom for Kärcher to provide sales & service for pressure washers and other cleaning products to businesses & members of the public for commercial and domestic uses. Kärcher also has plans to use the space to provide training to staff and demonstrations of their extensive cleaning product range to customers.

The unit which comprises 7,404 sq ft on over half an acre has been acquired on a sublease until 2026 at a commencing rent of £75,000 per annum with a rent free and tenant break options. The previous tenant was Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

This is the first of a planned role out of branches, with future units planned in Newcastle, Leeds, Chelmsford, Nottingham, Derby and Leicester.
