Coventry attracts new retailers to shopping centre

BNP Paribas Real Estate, the leading property adviser, alongside its joint agent Wright Silverwood, acting on behalf of client Royal London Asset Management, has secured two new retailers in Coventry’s Lower Precinct Shopping Centre.

The shopping centre will be home again to TJ Hughes, the department store operator, which has signed a new 10 year lease on a 40,000 sq ft retail unit. The new anchor store is set to open in November 2013.

The centre has also welcomed F Hinds, the jewellery retailer, which has taken Unit 65 after signing a 15 year lease.

In addition, The Entertainer, Lush and Trespass have all extended their commitment to the centre, after agreeing new leases.

Andrew Shepherd of BNP Paribas Real Estate said: “Coventry’s Lower Precinct Shopping Centre continues to attract new retailers, due to its location, amenities and strong tenant line up, including Next, H&M and Jacques Vert. These deals signal increasing confidence in the retail market, as well as Coventry itself.”
