Jones Lang LaSalle has appointed Tamsin Cottle to the position of associate planning director, following a subtantial increase in business in the Midlands Region.
Tamsin brings a wealth of experience to the team, now eight strong, having worked for both local authority and private sector clients, acting as planning consultant on major retail schemes for blue chip companies including Next, Co-op and Morrisons. She has also worked with some of the UK’s major housebuilders and will use her expertise to assist Jones Lang LaSalle with its growing residential land and development portfolio.
Although a new face to the planning team, Tamsin is not new to some of the longer serving members who worked with Tamsin at King Sturge, before its merger with Jones Lang LaSalle.
Speaking of her return to the fold Tamsin said: “I was attracted to the role because of the wealth of opportunity Jones Lang LaSalle presents. I get to work with a team that has real market knowledge and the expertise and experience to bring forward more complex and challenging schemes. They understand that planning is increasingly being seen as a market driven activity. It’s not just about getting planning consent, it’s about viability and offering sound commercial advice on whether a scheme stacks up or not.”

The government has recognised the need to stimulate development if they are to aid growth of the economy and we hope Tamsin will be able to work with all parties to unlock growth in the Midlands region too.
