BNP Paribas Real Estate hires new sustainability manager

BNP Paribas Real Estate has continued its growth with another senior hire. Nick Hillard joins as sustainability manager, having most recently worked in-house at the University of Warwick and previously held senior positions at environmental consultancy firm, WSP.

Nick, who has 20 years’ experience in the environmental services sector, will be responsible for the development and delivery of the sustainability strategy within the property management business line.

BNP Paribas Real Estate’s head of property management, Paul Abrey, said: “Nick is a great addition to our existing team, having previously worked with some of our key clients. Sustainability is important to the real estate sector and nowhere more so than in the property management business, where it goes to the very core of service delivery.”

Speaking about his new role, Nick commented: “As a globally-connected organisation, there are numerous opportunities to add value across our existing and potential client base, through an increased focus on the sustainability agenda.”

Nick is a qualified environmental auditor, BREEAM assessor and is a member of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Biodiversity.

Nick’s appointment follows a number of recent senior hires including: James Strevens as senior City agency director, David Herzog as senior West End agency director, Daniel Harness as industrial and logistics agency associate director, Nadir Khan-Juhoor as head of agency in Edinburgh and David Barry as senior international investment director with a focus on America, in addition to several new senior directors in the City investment team.
