Tri-Regions Surveyors Rugby Tournament raises £7,250 for charity

A team of property professionals from the Midlands have retained their title for the third year running in the Tri-Regions Annual Surveyors Challenge Charity Rugby Tournament, raising £7,250 in the process.

Held on 12 October at Moseley Rugby Club, a team of Midlands Surveyors took on their counterparts from the North West and North East.

In the first of three matches, the Midlands narrowly beat their North East rivals 17-15. The second match saw the North West beat the North East 20-17, and in the final match, the Midlands resoundingly beat the North West 35-0.

The funds raised from the tournament will be split between charities Cure Leukaemia and Bowel & Cancer Research and was organised by Jonathan Robinson of DTZ, Adam McGuinness of Jones Lang LaSalle and Nick Waddington of CBRE.

The tournament was followed by food, drinks and a charity auction and raffle.  Main sponsors included, Stoford, Nurton, Morley Estates, Markham Vale and NPS Group.

Jonathan Robinson of DTZ, commented: “We are delighted to have retained our title in the tournament for the third year running but more importantly, raised a fantastic amount for Cure Leukaemia and Bowel & Cancer Research. A big thank you to our sponsors and everyone who has supported us.”
