Birmingham marks birthday celebrations for tyre company

Solideal UK, a tyre manufacturer and supplier, has marked its 20th year anniversary by opening a service centre in Birmingham, the company’s fifteenth outlet.

Hoping to tap into a wealth of opportunity in the area, Solideal UK, which specialises in tyres for fork lift trucks, has recently signed a three-year lease for a 1,626 sq ft unit on SEGRO’s Kings Norton Business Centre (KNBC).

As part of a global company, Solideal has been manufacturing, supplying and fitting tyres since 1991, but the service centres were only introduced to the UK market two years ago. Since then, the outlets have been in rapid growth, with fifteen in total now operating across the country.

Jane Leedham, leasing manager for SEGRO, said: “Given the current economic climate, it is encouraging to see successful businesses continue to reach important milestones and expand into new locations. We are pleased that the company’s 20th year was honoured with a service centre on KNBC.”

Jimmy Quinn, Group Operations Manager of Solideal UK, said: “The new service centre is in an ideal spot as it is centrally located and within easy reach of all local motorways, such as the M5, M42, M40 and M6. We also have a lot of customers on KNBC, so it’s easier for us to service them as they are right on our doorstep.

Solideal UK service centres offer on-site tyre fitting services for clients such as Toyota, Still and Crown.

Kings Norton Business Centre is the premier Business Centre in south Birmingham, meeting the business space needs of a diverse range of companies. Located on a 24.3 hectare (60 acre) site, its local management team is able to cater for the needs of the occupiers from its on-site regional office. The estate is maintained on a structured basis providing a first class business and working environment, with tenants benefiting from 24-hour mobile security, CCTV coverage and consequential low crime rates.
