Serving up success at South Liberty Lane

Commercial catering ventilation specialists B W Fabrications have moved  to Ashton Vale Industrial Estate in South Bristol after out-growing their base in Albert Road St Phillips.

Launched in 1997 the firm, which designs, manufactures and installs kitchen extraction equipment for the catering industry, found the extra office and workshop space it was looking for at 101 South Liberty Lane on the SEGRO-managed industrial estate.

Chris Miles from Jones Lang LaSalle, who let the property, said a key element of the move was SEGRO’s willingness to be flexible about parking spaces – allowing BW Fabrications to have some extra parking space nearby.

He said: “BW Fabrications had a clear idea of their needs and were looking to expand into a bigger space in the hope of further success in future, without moving too far from their original base in St Phillips.

“We were able to negotiate with their neighbours to secure further parking spaces.”

The Ashton Vale Industrial Estate is one of four estates run by SEGRO across greater Bristol. Branded under the Bristolworks cluster of industrial estates they are marketed by Colliers International and Jones Lang LaSalle.

BW Fabrications has established an enviable reputation as a major player in the commercial catering sector through the quality of its custom-built kitchen extraction, ventilation and ducting products and the reliability of the service that it consistently supplies to the commercial catering world.

The firm, which employs 16 people on site, supplies extraction and ventilation products across the South West, South Wales, the Midlands and the South East of England.

BWF Managing Director Steve Bruce-Jones said: “SEGRO was able to track down the right size premises not too far from our original base and the extra car parking is a significant benefit to us.”
