UBC announces strong first quarter figures

United Business Centres (UBC) has announced first quarter sales figures, revealing a great start to the year for the serviced office provider. The results also indicate positive news for the economy and SMEs in particular, which comprise the majority of UBC’s client roster.

UBC’s National Sales office are reporting that demand for space nationally is up 20% (measured in enquiry levels), with 13% more conversions compared to Q1 2012.

Existing client occupiers are also taking on more office space. UBC have seen expansions within their existing client base increase by 49% over the same period last year. Similarly, 29% more clients renewed their office contracts – clear signs that SMEs are thriving in UBC’s serviced office environments.

Overall occupancy is up 6% across UBC’s portfolio, demonstrating robust performance in an occupier driven market and satisfying returns for UBC’s landlord partners.

Interpreting the results, UBC’s Managing Director Tom Mulvaney said:

“A maturing economy and a fiercely competitive market-place mean that businesses must be highly focussed on their core activity to survive. They cannot afford to be distracted by requirements that are best outsourced to specialists, such as managing and maintaining office space.”

“UBC helps customers to maximise their resources and focus on business development.”
