Expansion drives relocation to Burntwood Business Park

Pro-Pack-re-sizedDue to the expansion of Craig Chance Holdings Ltd both its logistics company and packaging business have relocated to a Staffordshire business park to enable them to expand and grow their business further.

Pro Freight Solutions and Pro-Pack Solutions, together with holding company Craig Chance Holdings, have taken a 72,843 sq ft unit in Zone 3 at Burntwood Business Park in Burntwood, which is owned and managed by London and Cambridge Properties Limited (LCP).

A total of 45 people are employed at the new base. The holding company has offices there to operate the central accounting services for its six businesses.

Pro Freight Solutions, which used to operate out of Brownhills, has up to 16 vehicles. It provides UK same day deliveries for a range of companies and also handles international work into Europe, the USA and Hong Kong. It is one of the largest local independent contractors to Palletways and offers a full pick and pack/storage facilities to a number of blue chip companies.

Mitch Chance, Managing Director of Pro Freight Solutions, said: “Our Group business has grown considerably over the last two years. We required new premises for our expansion and we needed to relocate close to Brownhills as many of our staff live in the area. We required a location with a good roadway network and premises we could promote to clients to show what our business offered in an efficient and clean working environment.

“We are aware of how LCP has developed Burntwood Business Park and see this as a positive, progressive move for our future growth. The move has assisted our central accounting processes so we can take the accounting demands away from our companies and concentrate on growing our businesses.”

Paul Conway, Managing Director of Pro-Pack Solutions, said: “Relocating our cardboard box manufacturing company Pro-Pack Solutions to Burntwood has enabled investment in specialised machinery. This investment means we can now enter the volume box market and increase production considerably. There are already links with the logistics business as we supply bespoke boxes for customers which Pro-Freight Solutions delivers on behalf of.”

Mitchell added: “My son created Craig Chance Holdings three years ago and it is succeeding by controlling costs and utilising its assets. Our big selling point is our service. We are focussed on responding to our customers’ needs. We are also a family business and operate family values throughout the group.

“We intend to continue expanding our group volumes by taking every opportunity in the recession and if we can see opportunities for manufacturing and distribution businesses working together we can look at expanding our business even further
