Concept recruits a further five in Devon

Leading West Country recruitment specialist Concept Staffing has made a number of key appointments to help boost business thoughout it’s Devon branches.

Two new recruits have joined Concept’s Newton Abbot branch.

Hayley Ellis, 22, takes on the role of Recruitment Consultant, while Janet Myers, 58, has been appointed Sales Resourcer at the Concept office in Queen Street.

Hayley, who lives in Totnes, was previously account manager for Concept. She has worked in the recruitment industry for more than four years and has been with Concept Staffing since last December. Her aim is to grow the commercial desk at the Newton Abbot branch within the Teignbridge and South Hams areas.

Janet, who lives in Exeter, was previously a recruitment advisor for Royal Mail. During her 18 years at Royal Mail she worked closely with Remploy, Barnardo’s and Business Action on Homelessness to try to bring disadvantaged and disabled people into the workforce, either by  work placements or permanent jobs.

Concept has also made key appointment in Exeter.

Darren Davis, 29, takes on the role of Recruitment Consultant, responsible for securing employment for temps in the industrial sectors and providing specialist staff within the catering business.

Darren spent 13 years working as a chef before moving into fine food sales and the recruitment industry.

He said: “My aim is to provide companies in Exeter with the best industrial workers within the South West and, using my 13 years catering experience, to become the sole agency for filling all chef positions for the region.”

And finally, two further appointments have been made in Plymouth, who will also be covering Truro and surrounding areas.

Tracy Adlington, 29, takes on the key role of Senior Recruitment Consultant, while Adam James, 18, has been appointed to the role of Resourcer at the branch in New George Street, having recently successfully completed an apprenticeship with Concept.

Tracy, who lives in St Austell and has five years of experience in the recruitment industry, will be responsible for securing employment for temps and permanent staff in the engineering and manufacturing sectors throughout Plymouth, Cornwall and surrounding areas.

Adam, who lives in Plympton was taken on as an apprentice by Concept in December 2010. He has not only succeeded in finding himself a permanent job with the company, but has eyes on promotion within the branch.
