Rhymney rugby school stars score a brand new look

Budding young rugby stars from Rhymney Valley are sporting a brand new look this season – thanks to their newest supporter.

The Rhymney Valley Schools Under-15’s squad have been presented with a new playing kit by leading national recruitment company Acorn.

The leading multi-regional UK recruitment and training agency, which has its headquarters in Newport, expanded its operations in the Rhymney area this year following the acquisition of Caerphilly-based Draig Personnel.

Rhymney Valley Schools Under-15 Head Coach Gareth Richards welcomed the new corporate support and said: “We are delighted with the new playing kits and grateful to Acorn for their backing.

“This type of business sponsorship is key to allowing school rugby squads like ours to continue to provide what is, after all, an important element of sporting life in the community.”

Acorn Operations Director Maria Larcombe said: “Acorn is no stranger to working with the local communities in which it serves. We are more than pleased to be able to support local school sport and look forward to a successful season with the Under-15’s.”

The Acorn Group finds jobs for more than 5,000 temps with more than 850 different clients each week. It delivers training to over 3,000 individuals and makes 1,700 permanent placements each year.
