Regional Agent Partnership appointed to government panel

A partnership of five award-winning practices of chartered surveyors including Alder King has secured a place on the Government Procurement Service’s (GPS) four-year Estates Professional Service Framework Agreement RM928.

With a combined turnover of £39.7 million and more than 600 staff, the Regional Agent Partnership (RAP), which is co-ordinated by Sanderson Weatherall, includes Alder King, Ryden, Harris Lamb and Budworth Hardcastle.

The group will now be able to provide a full range of professional property services for use by all UK public sector bodies including, but not limited to, central government departments and their agencies, non departmental public bodies, NHS bodies and local authorities.

Leading on core services in the South West of England and Southern Wales, James Chaffer, partner at Alder King, said:

“This is a superb opportunity for Alder King and our partners to advise and support a diverse range of public sector organisations across Great Britain. With seven offices throughout the South West and South Wales, Alder King continues to maintain its position as market leaders and we will now be able to build upon and enhance our existing public sector relationships and more readily share with the public sector our insights, local market intelligence and expertise on a wide range of property issues.

“In the current economic climate, such local intelligence and guidance is invaluable to ensure the very best outcome for public bodies and organisations, and we are delighted that Alder King’s reputation has secured it a place within the RAP group and on the GPS Panel Framework to offer that advice and support.”

Head of Public Sector Consultancy at Sanderson Weatherall, Simon Elliot, said: “We applaud the government’s decision to appoint parties of all sizes to its Estates Professional Services Framework Panel and were thrilled to learn that we had secured a place.

“This partnership arrangement provides truly exceptional regional exposure and award-winning knowledge through a network of 26 UK offices. We believe that the quality of our partner-led service offering, regional strengths and our ability to provide value through our collaborative approach were the strong reasons for appointment onto the panel.”

Operating within the RAP group, each of the firms will deliver public sector projects in geographic strongholds.

Providing local and national property guidance on all valuation, rating, agency, building consultancy, strategic asset management, compulsory purchase and landlord and tenant issues, RAP is able to advise public sector organisations on a whole spectrum of property matters.
