Watling Real Estate has acquired a significant industrial complex in Rotherham in an off-market deal on behalf of a private investor client.
The deal, which was concluded in just weeks, highlights Watling’s capabilities in acquiring attractive assets for the requirements of private clients.
The 76,000 sq ft of industrial accommodation on 3.6 acres at Fullerton Road was acquired quickly following an introduction by Watling, reportedly close to its £2 million asking price.
Alex Sweetman, director in the Leeds office of Watling, said: “The opportunity matched our client’s investment requirements, being a fully let industrial complex let in its entirety to a strong national covenant with a busy order book.
“We’re actively seeking and acquiring assets on behalf of a growing number of private investors seeking opportunities with potential for growth.”
The property is occupied by William Hare Group Ltd, the leading structural steel engineering group which has supplied major projects such as the Hinkley Point C nuclear power station, Battersea Power Station, and the iconic “Walkie Talkie”, as 20 Fenchurch Street, London, is known.
The vendor was advised by law firm Austin Moore in Derby and Taylor Emmet in Sheffield advised the purchaser.
