Planning, design and development consultancy Marrons has expanded its planning team in Stratford-upon-Avon with the appointment of Gemma Johnson as associate director.
Gemma brings more than 15 years’ experience in planning, having spent nearly 12 years at Barton Willmore – now Stantec – where she was an associate director in the Birmingham planning team. Prior to this, she worked at Fisher German for two years and started her career on GVA Grimley’s graduate scheme.
At Marrons, Gemma will focus on the residential sector, leading the preparation and submission of planning applications and promoting sites for housing development through the local plan process.
Gemma said: “Marrons has an excellent reputation for delivering results for clients and it’s an exciting time to join as the consultancy continues to grow. I’m looking forward to building on that success, continuing to deliver positive outcomes for clients and making a meaningful contribution to shaping places across the region. What I enjoy most about my role is being able to secure results for clients, particularly on challenging sites.”
The Stratford-upon-Avon team plays a central role in Marrons’ regional growth, supporting housebuilders, developers and landowners in securing planning permission and promoting both greenfield and brownfield land to meet future housing and employment needs.
Gary Stephens, partner and town planning consultant at Marrons, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Gemma to the Stratford-upon-Avon team. Her extensive experience and track record of success will add real strength to our residential planning offer. Demand for our services across the West Midlands continues to grow and Gemma’s appointment ensures we can continue to deliver the highest quality outcomes for our clients.”
