Agents at Harris Lamb have let a Birmingham distribution hub to an expanding Midlands logistics firm.
IMC Logistics has signed a Lease at 40 Spitfire Road, a 42,118 sqft cross-docked warehouse set on a 3.4-acre site.
Located in Spitfire Park, close to Jaguar Land Rover’s Castle Bromwich plant and Fort Dunlop, the property benefits from very low site coverage and an unusually high number of dock level loading doors for a unit of this size.
Matthew Tilt, Director, said: “IMC Logistics is a successful Midlands-based business providing express shipping by road, air and sea, and offering a secure 24/7 warehouse monitoring service to clients to ensure their goods are safely stored and shipped. With an existing facility in Tamworth, the company wanted to expand its operation with a further Midlands site.
“Spitfire X-Dock met with the business’ needs, benefitting from excellent connectivity with the UK motorway network courtesy of its proximity to Junction 6 of the M6, and being sited less than ten miles away from Birmingham International Airport and Birmingham New Street and International railway stations.
“The building has 46 dock-level doors, 5.5m eaves height, gatehouse and two yards of 30m and 42m, and the Landlord worked closely with the new Tenant to deliver a refurbishment that satisfied their requirements.”
Joint letting agents were JLL.
