Central Birmingham office market take up figures for Quarter 1, 2024

The latest report was compiled for Birmingham Office Market Forum by Jonathan Carmalt, Director, Office Agency, JLL.

Office take up in quarter one, 2024 in the central Birmingham office market totalled 203,385 sq ft in 20 deals, according to figures compiled by Birmingham Office Market Forum.

A positive start to the year with the highest Q1 outcome since prior to the pandemic, maintaining the strong finish secured in 2023. The take up demonstrates the diverse base of occupier demand with particularly significant representation from the education, flex office and media sectors.

2023 – 153,550 sq ft, 18 deals
2022 – 175,261 sq ft, 32 deals
2021 – 49,837 sq ft, 20 deals
2020 – 338,985 sq ft, 16 deals
