Freehold industrial unit in Christchurch sold to investment syndicate

A freehold industrial/warehouse investment at an industrial estate near Bournemouth has been sold.

The 20,604 sq ft unit at 10 Airfield Road, Christchurch, was bought by wealth management specialists Lewis Investments to add to their property investment syndicates under management.

Property consultancy Vail Williams acted for the seller William Fishwick & Son, a property and renewable energy investor based in Chester. Goadsby represented Lewis Investments.

On the Airfield Industrial Estate, the unit is let to Focal Point Fires on a 10-year lease to February 2029.

Ben Duly, a senior surveyor working out of Vail Williams’ Bournemouth office, said: “We were instructed by the owners to market the investment of 10 Airfield and following the marketing period the sale was agreed.

“Focal Point Fires is the tenant – the company is the UK’s largest manufacturer of fuel effect fires, with both electric and gas fuel effect fires featured in an extensive product range.”

Alastair Warwick Smith of Lewis Investments said: “We are delighted to have secured this property on behalf of our investors. It is located on an established and sought-after industrial estate and there are good prospects for rental growth going forward.”

DTM Legal in Chester acted for the seller and Lester Aldridge Solicitors in Southampton acted for the purchaser.

The purchase price was not disclosed.
