Siddall Jones helps travel agency to the media industry book into new base

Birmingham commercial agents Siddall Jones have sold Shire House, Birmingham Road, Lichfield, to Access Bookings Ltd for an undisclosed sum in excess of the £995,000 asking price.

The 11,883 sq ft property was originally marketed with planning permission for 18 apartments but when the directors of Access Bookings Ltd viewed Shire House, they realised it was the home they had been seeking.

James Austin of Access Bookings Ltd explained that the company was started back in the mid-1980s.

Access Bookings Ltd caters for media organisations wherever they need to work across the globe.

Ed Siddall-Jones, managing director of Siddall Jones, said: “We had a lot of interest from local developers but in the end sold it to a local business for their new head office.

“Access Bookings Ltd is a very exciting company and clearly with the increasing appetite for new programmes on streaming as well as terrestrial channels, their services are only going to be more in demand each year.

“We wish them well in their new home and were pleased to be able to ‘book’ somewhere for the expert bookers!”

The property was sold by Shire House Developments Ltd who were advised by Charlotte Bayliss at law firm Gately in Birmingham. Pickerings Solicitors in Tamworth acted for Access Bookings Ltd.
