Paul Hazell, Kirkby Diamond

Commercial property consultancy Kirkby Diamond has bolstered its management team with the appointment of Paul Hazell.

Paul, who has more than 15 years’ experience as a surveyor, joins the company’s building consultancy department as a partner where he will lead the Milton Keynes team and work alongside executive partner Mark Pepper.

During his career he has represented private and public clients in all building consultancy matters, developing his planning, surveying and client liaison skills along the way.

His experience includes instructions ranging from numerous refurbishments, advice on dilapidations, planning preventative maintenance schedules, implementing works to fixed budgets, acquisition surveys, advising on building condition, negotiating with existing tenants to secure settlements, and growth management.

Paul said: “This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a company that has a first class reputation and ambitious growth plans. I’m looking forward to working with the very strong building consultancy team here, led by Mark Pepper, and growing the department even further. I have built up an extensive professional network during my career and I will be utilising these contacts and specialists in my new role.”

Mark Pepper, executive partner and head of building consultancy and infrastructure, said: “The appointment of Paul as a partner clearly demonstrates the high caliber of staff that we are determined to attract in order to provide the highest levels of service for our clients. He is a very welcome addition to the building consultancy team where his experience and skills will be invaluable.”

Paul joins Kirkby Diamond from Bidwells, where he worked for eight years. Prior to that he was at Lambert Smith Hampton.

In his spare time, Paul is a keen gardener and is a member of the local carnival committee, organising the music stage. As a lifelong musician, he enjoys the vibrant local music scene in Newport Pagnell.

The move marks the latest phase of Kirkby Diamond’s growth strategy. Earlier this year it expanded its area of operation with the appointment of Paul Gallagher to spearhead a drive into the Hertfordshire and north London market. It also acquired property and asset management specialists Granby Martin in 2020.
