New initiative generates free green electricity

Award winning Bristol based Property Consultancy has today launched a new initiative, offering landowners across the South West of England the opportunity to benefit from free electricity generated by small scale solar installations.

Alder King are working with experienced Solar Developers AEE Renewables to source sites suitable for small scale solar installations across the region.  Suitable sites require just 0.5 acres of land, with a three phase electricity connection within 100 metres of the site.

In return for agreeing to host a small scale solar installation, landowners will benefit from free electricity for a period of 25 years. At the end of this time, the solar panels will become property of the landowner, where they can continue to benefit from the electricity generated for the remaining life of the panels, or alternatively the landowner may choose to have the panels removed at no cost.  Further information and an initial screening test for sites can be found at www.prod-use.com

Simon Smith, Partner at Alder King said “Alder King is proud to be working with a credible and experienced specialist such as AEE Renewables, who are at the forefront of this concept.  In addition, we are pleased to be making a contribution to the production of green electricity, whilst also providing a means of off-setting ever increasing electricity costs for landowners”

Forthcoming weeks and months will see Alder King targeting landowners across the South West with the aim of building a regionally balanced portfolio of multiple sites for AEE Renewables.  Suitable sites are expected to be constructed, and producing electricity within 12 – 16 weeks meaning that the first identified sites will be on line in early 2012.
